Skeleton

Business Spotlight

Alberta Skeleton Association

The Alberta Skeleton Association is the not-for-profit provincial governing body responsible for the sport of skeleton in Alberta. We recruit new athletes, offer programs for their development and build their skills through local and international competition.

All of the Olympic skeleton athletes and about 95 per cent of Canadian skeleton athletes begin their careers with and are members of the Alberta Skeleton Association.

We are based out of Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, one of only two tracks in Canada and one of four in North America. We offer to the general public Discover Skeleton events. This is more then a tourist ride - it is a sport experience lasting nearly four hours. During our on-ice season - October through February - we hold about two Discovers each month, offering this unique sport experience to approximately 200 courageous people a year.
